The second annual The Beatles festival was held at Astana square in Almaty, Tengrinews.kz reports. The project is devoted to support the initiative of Restoration of Medeu and Shymbulak woods. The event was attended by the chairman of Tabigat ecological union Mels Yeleussizov. He sang Yellow Submarine song. According to the host Noel Shayakhmetov, the festival’s winner will be selected via SMS-voting. The festival guests warmly welcomed all the participants of the contest. Bakhtiyar Tailakbayev with Let It Be, Nadzhat Vildanov from Zhetygen band with Yesterday and Alzhan Akbarov with Let Me Down gained special applause. Jantik Bank, Julia 3+2 band and other singers added extra flavor to the festival.
