Kazakhstan’s best break dancer has been selected in Almaty, Vesti.kz reports. The contest's jury made of world break dancing stars selected Nikolay Chernikov, a.k.a. B-Boy Killa Kolya, out of 16 contestants. The annual contest of the country’s best B-Boys called Red Bull BC One Cypher Kazakhstan was held in Kazakh State Circus. This year the finalists were selected in Shymkent, Astana and Almaty. Four dancers were invited straight to the final. The jury included Exact (Russia), one of the best CIS B-Boys and participant of the 2012 break dance final, Wing from South Korea, a representative of All Stars team and Lil G from Venezuela, the world’s best representative of Power Move school and finalist of the 2011 World Championship in Moscow. B-Boy Shadr from Almaty and B-Boy Neutron were the main competitors of Killa Kolya from Astana. “I am happy to win this contest once again (Killa Kolya won in 2011), especially that the judgment was strict. Not only the stunts' visual appeal is considered in break dance, but first of all the clean performance, the technique and how well one feels the rhythm,” the dancer said. Killa Kolya will now go to Eastern Europe for the selection round that will be held in Kiev on September 10. In case of victory Killa Kolya, who represents Simple System team, will go to the world finals in Seoul.
