Kazakhstan's representative at Miss Universe-2014 Aidai Isayeva has failed to become one of the 15 finalists at the world's top beauty pageant in Florida, USA on Sunday, on January 25, Tengrinews reports.
15 finalists were from Colombia, Italy, India, France, USA, Indonesia, Venezuela, Spain, Philippines, Argentina, Jamaica, Ukraine, Brazil, Netherlands and Australia.
The event took place this year, but it is actually the 2014 Miss Universe pageant since the management postponed the date of the contest trying to get a bigger television audience between Golden Globes and the Super Bowl.
Throughout three weeks of preparations to the contest, the participants attended charity events, played golf, created a fresco with a famous Brazilian artist Romero Britto and took part in the nations' parade.
After a tough competition, the judges selected Paulina Vega as Miss Universe-2014. Vega got the highest possible score of 9.9 in every task at the Miss Universe contest. She received a crown from the reigning Miss Universe-2013 Venezuelan Gabriela Isler.

At the national costumes contest, Kazakhstan's Aidai Isayeva wore a dress designed by Aida Kaumenova, a well-known Kazakh designer, whereas for the defile in evening gowns, she chose a dress of Nail Baikuchukov, a designer from Kyrgyzstan.
Paulina Vega, a business student at the Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia, outshined 87 women from all over the world. Now throughout the year, the winner will travel around the world and attend charity events. The Miss Universe management will cover all the expenses.
Besides, the Miss Universe-2014, who is also the granddaughter of legendary tenor Gaston Vega and 1953 Miss Atlantico, Elvira Castillo, will visit Kazakhstan this summer, on June 27, to be a host of the Opera Ball in Almaty.
The Miss Universe beauty pageant was founded in 1952 by the California clothing company Pacific Mill, but in 1996 the right to hold the event was purchased by American businessman and investor Donald Trump. Over the years, the contest has evolved into one of the three largest and most powerful beauty pageants in the world in terms of the number of national-level competitions and one of the most anticipated beauty pageants worldwide. Around 600 million people watch it annually.
