Anara Temirtassova from Astana represents Kazakhstan at the International FashionTV Model Awards this year. The contest is held as part of the Cannes Film Festival

Organizers of the Miss Fashion TV contest chose Anara Temirtassova because of her appearance that is both Asian and European. "They chose Anara even though she is not tall enough to be a model -- she is only 170 cm which is below the average in the fashion world. The average standard for models is 174 cm. Anara is a very pretty girl. They liked that she had both Asian and European features in her appearance," the model agency's coordinator Ekaterina Kryukova told

Fashion TV Model Awards is an opportunity for Anara Temirtassova to showcase the latest collections from top international designers and get photoshoots with famous photographers. About 500 celebrities has assembled at the FashionTV show this year. FTV President Michel Adam is charing the jury.

17-y.o. Anara had already participated in international contests before and even won some of them. She was the second runner at the Miss Globe International Contest in Cyprus.
