The second day of Kazakhstan Fashion Week
Kazakhstan designer Yerlan Zholdasbek mixed military style with glamour and classic in his 2013/2014 autumn-winter collection, Tengrinews.kz reports. Zholdasbek impressed the audience with his bright womanish dresses combined with green jackets and sophisticated headwear, decorated with mirrors and gems. The designer said that his frequent trips to Arabic countries influenced his collection. Russia’s designer Irina Shumova, Diskoteka Avariya singer’s wife, showed the collection that amused female guests of the event. The image of a XIX century woman inspired Irina to create her La Femme collection. Romantic dresses decorated with elegant embroidery, precious materials, natural images breathed womanhood and elegance. The designer chose famous Romeo and Juliette melody, written by Italian composer Nino Rota, as the background music for presentation of her collection and the melody affected audience deeply as well. Romanian designer Klara Rotesku impressed the audience with her bright MIAU collection. Her cocktail and evening gowns were saturated with bright summer colors. Chinese style with bright prints on silk could be traced through her collection. Headgears with flowers decorated the models’ heads. Kazakhstan designer Aygul Kassymova used bright colour scale in her collection as well. Works of French post-impressionist painter Henri Rousseau influenced her collection. Primitive images of plants and exotic animals were used in prints. Leonid Zherebtsov, winner of the Open Way Young Designers Contest and debutant of the Kazakhstan Fashion Week, presented a minimalist collection, where the prevailing tones were black, grey and brown. Sabina Makhmudova’s SM brand collection wasn’t very original either. The young designer presented a collection of office clothes. Ukraine’s designer Konstantin Omelya was thinking of Gothic esthetics in his autumn-winter collection. Mysticism and unearthly worlds inspired the designer to create his collection. His fashion line is divided into two parts: casual wear and evening gowns. Aida Kaumenova, Aydos Suleymenov, Aynur Turisbek, Saltanat Baymukhamedova (Salta), Tamara Lamanukayeva, Anna Bublik (Ukraine) and Greghor Macgreghor (USA) presented their collections on April 17 as part of the Kazakhstan Fashion Week.
