The fireworks will start at 10:30 p.m. on July 6 from 3 spots simultaneously. The first location is the esplanade of the Yesil (Ishim) River opposite to the Metropolitan Park, the second location is Khan Shatyr Mall, and the third location is the square in front of Kazakhstan Sport Centre at #9 Kazhymukan Street.
The esplanade will the best place to watch from because of the visual effects on the water. There will be projections of fire ships, geyser flowers and even Baiterek, the symbol of Astana, "floating" down the Yesil River.
The organizers assure that this year the show will exceed all expectations.
According to the president of Kazakhstan Salut Company Vadim Gostev, the fireworks will involve approximately 20 professional pyrotechnicians. All in all about 5,000 pyrotechnic shells will be used for the triple fireworks. The show expected to last from 5 to 20 minutes.
The Astana City Day is one of the most widely celebrated holidays in Kazakhstan, gathering thousands of Astana residents and guests of the capital for a variety of events, concerts and shows. This year, the celebration will also feature International illusionist festival Magic Astana, 4D show on the facade of Astana Opera, Echo of Asia International Circus Festival, Turkic Music Festival Astana Arkau, International Street Dance Session and many other attractions.
