Football with British players’ autographs sold in Almaty

The football with famous British players’ autographs was sold in Almaty for 890 thousand tenge ($6000), Tengrinews.kz reports. Seven bids from those wishing to purchase the football were submitted to Komanda SOS Center since the beginning of the auction. the opening price of the lot amounted to $3000. It is still unknown who became the new owner of the football. The name will disclosed at a press-conference today, on February 7. The money received from the auction will be donated for treatment of Kazakhstan children with ICP (infantile cerebral paralysis). Earlier Tengrinews.kz reported that the football with autographs of such prominent British football players as David Beckham, Ashley Cole, Gary Neville and Matthew Upson was set out for auction on December 5 on the International Volunteers Day in Almaty. The football was exhibited in Meloman Grand shop for two months. Those who wishing to buy the football could submit their bid in the shop.
