Aya Bapani's collection that will be presented on April 21 on the last day of Kazakhstan Fashion Week 2012/2013 autumn-winter season will combine historic and modern fashion, Tengrinews.kz reports. Bapani's models made a furor at KFW 2012 spring-summer season last year. The audience started applauding right after the first model entered the podium. According to the designer, it took her several years to make that stunning collection. Bapani said that creative process was halted several times because of lack of time. The collection stylized as Kazakh national clothes became the result of her long efforts. Coats and dresses from felt were decorated with national ornaments. The collection was made in black and white gamut and these clothes were designed for spring-time more than for summer. This was designer's debut in KFW. Bapani said that it would be difficult to repeat the last-year's success. According to the designer she tried to create an image of a modern woman who is brave and strong in spirit in her new collection called “Epochs connected by one thread”. “This is the image of a Central Asian woman,” Bapani said. However, elements of Russian national clothes were used in the collection as well. “The collection consists of two parts. The first part will be felt clothes of bright colors”. And the second part would be represented by clothes decorated with handmade embroidery, she said.
