Kazakhstan designer Alima Murzabekova, Bolashak scholarship graduate, will present her collection called 2012 in Kazakhstan Fashion Week 2012-2013 autumn-winter season, Tengrinews.kz reports. According to the designer, the year 2012 is the year of anxiety, hope and expectations. The designer said that people should look at this world in a new way. “Origami forms inspired me to create this collection.” She used both origami configurations and their interpretations in her embroidery, décor and cutout. Her clothes were made from organza, cashmere, wool, leather and mesh. The designer graduated from Milan Fashion and Design Instituto Marangoni with honors diploma after finishing her fashion courses in 2009. Alima Murzabekova was named the best debutant of Kazakhstan Fashion Week in 2009. She designed VIP sports clothes for VII Winter Asian Games participants and opened her own Alima Fashion House in Astana. Her 2012 collection will be presented on April 21 in the final day of KFW. Bolashak International scholarship is awarded to high-performing students from Kazakhstan to study overseas all-expenses paid, provided that they return to Kazakhstan to work for at least five years after graduation. Most of these students travel to study in the United States, but some travel elsewhere around the world.
