Alisher Zhaksybai from Almaty became the First Prize Winner of the 10th International Children's Contest Slavianski Bazaar 2012 in Vitebsk, Tengrinews.kz reports. The Jury was amazed by the ten-year-old Alisher’s performance of the Oleg Gazmanov’s song Yesaul. A young singer was awarded with the Laureate Diploma of the First Prize Winner and a special prize in amount of $3000. Eleven-year-old Mariam Bichoshvili from Georgia became the Grand Prix Winner of the contest. The Second Prize was awarded to three participants: Diana from Romania, Shuhrat from Uzbekistan and Pollianna Ryzhak from Ukraine. The Third Prize Winner is Paulina Skrabyte from Lithuania. The total of 20 young gifted children from 17 countries participated in the contest. Georgian composer and singer, Jemal Sepiashvili was the Chairperson of the International Jury this year. Kazakhstan was represented by Daria Gabdull, winner of X-Factor Kazakhstan project in the adult edition of the International Pop Song Performers Contest Slavianski Bazaar 2012 in Vitebsk. But she managed to win only the sixth place. The International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" is an annual festival held in Vitebsk, Belarus under the auspices of the Belarusian Government since 1992. Its main program is devoted to Slavic music. The main participants are artists from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, countries of the former Yugoslavia, Poland and Bulgaria with guests from many other countries, both Slavic and non-Slavic. It is a member of the International Federation of Festival Organizations (FIDOF) since 1998.
