Aigerim Kozhakhan catwalks in bikini at Miss Universe

The Miss Universe 2013 and its preliminary contests were held in Moscow this year. On November 5 the contestants came up to the microphone and presented themselves, then they catwalked in bikinis and evening gowns in front of a famous jury, Tengrinews reports. A panel of 8 judges including Steven Tyler, Chef Nobu, Tara Lipinski, Carol Alt, Anne V, Farouk Shami, Italo Fontana, and Philip Kirkorov judged the contestants from 86 countries. Aigerim Kozhakhan, 19, represents Kazakhstan at the Miss Universe 2013. She showed up in front of the jury and the audience of seven thousand people in a scarlet evening gown. In her profile Aigerim said that she was studying Tourism, doing charity work and volunteering in animals protection campaigns. Aigerim Kozhakhan represents Kazakhstan at Miss Universe Masters of the preliminary show Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo and journalist Nick Teplice were telling about participants' achievements and life values. Thomas Roberts and ex-soloist of Spice Girls Melanie Brown took their places at the final show. The contest of National Costumes took place the day before the preliminary competition. Aigerim Kozhakhan catwalked in a black and white dress by Kazakhstan designer Ai Bapani. Nastassja Bolivar, the beauty from Nicaragua, won the National Costume contest and received the $5 000 prize. This year's contest was marred by a scandal even before it started however. The list of favorites including beauties from Russia, Ukraine, Great Britain, Spain, Poland and Venezuela appeared on the Instagram account of Yelena Seminikina, the jury member of the beauty pageant. Seminikina denied her involvement and waived off the information, pointing out that she didn't even arrive in Moscow by the time it was posted.
