Shymkent beauty became Miss Kazakhstan 2012

21-y.o. Zhazira Nurimbetova from Shymkent has become the winner of Kazakhstan's main annual beauty pageant, Tengrinews.kz reports. Zhazira managed to top 24 beauties who representatives of other Kazakhstan cities. Miss Kazakhstan 2011 Ainur Toleuova presented her with a precious crown at the final show. “The jury’s choice came as a surprise for me. I thought that since the contest was held in Astana than Miss Astana would become the winner. When I heard my name, I didn’t believe my ears. All the girls performed decently and I think that every girl appeared worthy of this title. I am in my 4th year in the university and I am working as an accountant already. I will proceed with my professional career of a model only if I get an approval of my family. Although I’d like to become a professional model,” Nurimbetova said. The girl said that the competition was true and honest, because she is from a poor family and she had no thought of bribing the jurymen. According to Zhazira, she was keen on sports, especially swimming and rhythmic gymnastics. She likes reading Kazakh writer Abay Kunanbayev in her spare time and iconic actress Audrey Hepburn is her idol. 22-y.o. Aliya Mukhanova from Aktobe became the First Vice-Miss, 20-y.o. Gulstan Omarova from Astana was awarded with the title of the Second Vice-Miss and 24-y.o. Karina Zhetessova from Almaty was named the Third Vice-Miss of Kazakhstan by the decision of the jurymen.
