President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev invited Kazakhstan scientific centers to cooperate in Skolkovo project, RIA Novosti reports citing Dmitry Medvedev as saying at the 8th Forum of inter-regional cooperation of Kazakhstan and Russia.
“There is a good interaction in fundamental and application studies. We are talking about the necessity of giving it an additional impulse, including via the interaction of scientific and research centers of Kazakhstan with our Skolkovo center in implementation of major, interesting and modern tasks involving innovative products,” the President said.
According to Interfax-Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev agreed with his Russian counterpart to instruct the governments on organization of a celebration of the 20th anniversary of signing the Friendship and Cooperation Treaty between the two countries in 2012. This initiative was suggested by Nazarbayev. “Next year it will be 20 years since we have signed the Treaty that is still in effect, the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between Kazakhstan and Russia,” he noted.
