From now on, everyone can contribute to development of Almaty city and make the life of the city residents more convenient. On September 2, i-Azamat project, a bank of social ideas, has been launched in Almaty, Tengrinews reports.
The main goal of the project worth 3.3 million tenge ($18.1 thousand) is to collect innovative ideas and projects that hold an promise for the city.
If you have an idea or a business project that you think will improve the city and the life of the city residents, then you should register at i-azamat.kz platform and write about your project. The ideas can be related to areas like charity, city development, civil culture, education, arts and environment. All the submitted projects will be gathering ‘likes’ on i-azamat.kz.
A panel of experts will select three finalists in the end of October who will receive 100,000 tenge (nearly $550) each for implementation of their projects.
"We are looking forward to innovative and extraordinary projects designed for the city that will draw public attention to existing problems," head of Tobe socio-cultural development fund, the organizer of the project, Dana Shayakhmet said.
Despite the fact that there will be only three winners, all worthy ideas may find use in the future. But the funding allocated by the Almaty administration is going to cover the implementation of only the three top projects.
After that, Tobe fund plans to search for other investors who will finance implementation of other worthwhile projects, the organizers said.
In the future, the website may also be used as a crowd funding platform to raise money for various social projects.
