Tengrinews.kz — President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed confidence that Alatau will eventually become a new hub for talent, technology, and investment in Eurasia.
The Head of State spoke about the development prospects for the city, which is being built on the "Digital by Default" principle.
"Alatau must become the primary platform for implementing Smart City principles, intelligent transport and digital payment systems, as well as energy-efficient facilities and advanced telecommunications infrastructure. The city should also become one of the region's leading digital financial hubs. To this end, we are establishing a modern regulatory framework for the development of digital assets, tokenization technologies, blockchain, and the crypto industry. Competition law and a special tax regime will undoubtedly be the cornerstones of this effort. Participants in the Alatau project will be able to leverage the ecosystem of the Astana International Financial Centre. The AIFC operates based on English law principles and serves approximately 6,000 companies from over 90 countries. I am confident that Alatau will eventually become a new hub for talent, technology, and investment in Eurasia," stated Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
