Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstan is set to use artificial intelligence (AI) for predicting medication needs and detecting counterfeit prescriptions, announced Vice Minister of Healthcare Timur Muratov.
According to Muratov, AI technologies will improve supply chain planning and prevent disruptions in the provision of medicines.
“The Ministry plans to use AI for forecasting demand and supplies. AI will also be used to detect fake prescriptions,” Muratov said during a government meeting.
In addition, the ministry plans to integrate an AI consultant into the drug labeling system.
“This consultant will automatically assist market participants with questions regarding labeling, circulation rules, and legislative requirements,” Muratov explained.
The Ministry of Healthcare believes that the introduction of digital solutions will enhance the transparency of the pharmaceutical market and streamline interactions between stakeholders.
