Kazakhstan Agency for Religious Affairs is checking three thousand religious materials, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the Agency’s chairman Kairat Lama Sharif as saying at the Senate meeting on September 27. “Kazakhstan Agency for Religious Affairs has performed over one thousand religious checks of the literature so far. You can find the list of books that have received the agency's approval on our website. We are currently looking into around three thousand more materials. We have two centers performing this work,” Kairat Lama Sharif told the journalists. Earlier Kazakhstan General Prosecutor’s office called the court to declare Innocence of Muslims movie an extremist film that inspires religious hatred. Lama Sharif, in his turn, explained that the movie will be banned in Kazakhstan if the court declares it an extremist one. By Aidana Ussupova
