The talks will be focused on issues related to the Agreement on association between Ukraine and the European Union, energy security, stabilization of the situation in Donbass, according to the Press Service.
According to Dmitry Peskov, Russia’s President Valdimir Putin’s spokesman, while in Minsk the leaders are expected to dwell on interaction of the Customs Union of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus with Kiev, according to Russia’s RIA Novosti.
Leaders of the so-called Eurasian Troika have repeatedly discussed in phone talks development of economic ties with Ukraine within the current developments. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has reiterated his readiness, as well as readiness of his counterparts Vladimir Putin of Russia and Nurusltan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan to meet the leader of Ukraine.
On Tuesday Kazakhstan’s President Nazarbayev said in the phone talks with José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission, that another meeting of reps of the Customs Union member states, the European Union and Ukraine could be held in Astana, Kazakhstan’s capital city.
