Two Presidents to visit Kazakhstan for official meetings

Tengrinews.kz - Akorda has announced the schedule for upcoming meetings involving President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

From August 2 to 3, Kazakhstan will host the President of the Republic of Congo, Denis Sassou-Nguesso, on an official visit at the invitation of the Head of State.

Following this, from August 7 to 8, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan will undertake a state visit to Kazakhstan.

On August 9, Astana will host the Sixth Consultative Meeting of the Central Asian Heads of State. In May, the President announced that Kazakhstan, as the chair for 2024, is actively working to enhance the potential of the upcoming summit of Central Asian leaders.

“We have developed the 'Central Asia - 2040' regional cooperation strategy. The priorities of regional rapprochement are focused on expanding five-sided interaction and strengthening the international standing of Central Asia. I am confident that the adoption of this document during the summit in Astana will have conceptual significance for the region,” stated President Tokayev.
