Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Kazakhstan on a working visit, Intefax-Kazakhstan reports. He is expected to arrive in Almaty October 21. At the threshold of the visit, Kazkahstan’s Transport Minister Berik Kamaliyev met Turkey’s Ambassador Lale Ülker to discuss transport cooperation. “Kazakhstan’s Minister brought some issues to the attention of the Ambassador. Notably, in the realm of civil aviation the Turkish side has raised the issue of obtaining a permit for Pegasus Airlines to launch direct flights between Istanbul and Almaty. The Kazakh side is asking Turkey to approve the schedule of flights for the autumn and winter”, the Ministry’s Press Release reads. According to the Ministry, there are 14 regular airflights between Kazakhstan and Turkey a week.
