Tengrinews.kz - A ceremonial reception for the President of the Republic of Congo, Denis Sassou-Nguesso, took place at the Akorda residence, marking his official visit to Kazakhstan.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Denis Sassou Nguesso introduced the members of their official delegations to each other.
The commander of the honor guard company delivered a welcome report, and the national anthems of both countries were played.
After the ceremony, the presidents proceeded to the meeting room.
"We are pleased to welcome you to Kazakhstan. I am confident that your first visit to our country will help advance our bilateral relations," said President Tokayev.
The President of Congo thanked for the warm reception and noted Kazakhstan's achievements.
"It is a great honor for us to be in Astana. I am confident that this visit will elevate the relations between our peoples to a new level," emphasized Denis Sassou Nguesso.
