Tengrinews.kz – The head of state received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavsky in Akorda, according to a statement from Akorda.

Welcoming the head of the Czech Foreign Ministry, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the long-standing and fruitful nature of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic, based on friendship and mutual respect.

The Head of State expressed confidence that the minister's visit would give additional impetus to strengthening multifaceted cooperation between the countries. According to him, Kazakhstan is committed to close cooperation with the Czech Republic, which it views as one of the important partners in the European Union.

"The President drew attention to the existing potential for further development of trade and investment ties, expressing our country's readiness to continue to provide support to Czech investors," the Akorda press service noted.

Jan Lipavsky thanked the Head of State for the opportunity to meet and conveyed to him an invitation from Czech President Petr Pavel to visit Prague on an official visit.

"The Czech Foreign Minister emphasized that growing economic contacts are the basis of Kazakh-Czech cooperation. Among the priority areas of joint work, Jan Lipavsky named the spheres of industry, "green" transition, and energy," the Akorda statement said.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Jan Lipavsky also exchanged views on current issues on the regional and international agenda.

At the end of the conversation, the Head of State conveyed his best wishes to Czech President Petr Pavel.
