Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will make a state visit to Russia on November 11–12, the Akorda press service announced.
During the visit, Tokayev is scheduled to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He will also address the plenary session of the 21st Kazakhstan–Russia Interregional Cooperation Forum in Uralsk via videoconference.
A number of important bilateral documents are expected to be signed as part of the visit.
The Kremlin also confirmed the upcoming talks, noting that the two leaders will discuss the further development of strategic partnership and alliance between Russia and Kazakhstan — including cooperation in political, trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian fields — as well as key regional and global issues.
Tokayev and Putin are also expected to jointly address the participants of the interregional forum in Uralsk through a video link.
Earlier, Tokayev met with Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov to discuss key areas of bilateral cooperation ahead of the Moscow visit. The Kazakh president emphasized the importance of the upcoming talks and expressed confidence in their success.
