Tengrinews.kz — President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed the charter of the Peace Council, which was created on the initiative of U.S. President Donald Trump, citing Akorda.

Leaders and representatives of 18 countries took part in the signing ceremony alongside the President of Kazakhstan.

Earlier today, the Head of State arrived at the Congress Center in Davos, where the official signing ceremony was held.

As previously reported, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was among the first leaders to receive an official invitation from Donald Trump to join the newly established Peace Council on Gaza. Kazakhstan was also invited to become one of the founding states of the council.

The President of Kazakhstan earlier sent a response letter to the U.S. leader, expressing gratitude and confirming Kazakhstan’s readiness to participate in the new international body.

According to Washington’s concept, the Peace Council will be responsible for strategic oversight, mobilizing international resources, and monitoring compliance with commitments related to the peaceful development of Gaza.
