Tengrinews.kz - The Akorda press service has shared footage of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s arrival in Turkmenistan, where he was greeted with an official ceremony.
The ceremony took place at Ashgabat International Airport as part of Tokayev’s official visit to the country.
Following the report from the commander of the honor guard, the national anthems of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan were played.
Tokayev was welcomed by Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, upon his arrival.
During his visit, President Tokayev is set to hold talks with Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Additionally, he will inaugurate a monument to Abai in Ashgabat and participate in the International Forum titled “Interconnection of Times and Civilizations – the Foundation of Peace and Development”.
