Tengrinews.kz — President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting at the Prosecutor General’s Office, where he emphasized that Kazakhstan is undergoing large-scale transformations, including a constitutional reform and a transition to a fundamentally new political system, citing Akorda.

Tokayev noted that modern realities require the active introduction of digitalization and artificial intelligence across all areas of public life.

“Given the extremely difficult situation in a number of foreign countries, there is no doubt about the correctness of the policy we are pursuing. Law and Order must be viewed as a fundamental principle of state policy. Undoubtedly, this vital postulate will never lose its relevance. I believe it must be included in the new edition of the Constitution. A key role in its implementation is assigned to the Prosecutor General’s Office, whose employees have no right to remain indifferent or passively observe violations of the law,” the President said.

Earlier, at the first meeting of the Constitutional Commission, Mazhilis deputy Unzila Shapak proposed updating the preamble of the Constitution to bring it in line with modern requirements. In particular, she suggested enshrining at the constitutional level the ideas of a Just Kazakhstan and its central principle of Law and Order, which define the new philosophy of the country’s state and social development.
