Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, citing the Akorda press service.
The two presidents reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to further strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
They discussed the progress of implementing key agreements reached at the highest level.
"The presidents also exchanged views on current regional and international issues. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wished the President of Tajikistan success in hosting the 'Central Asia – Russia' summit and the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS," the Akorda press service noted.
It is worth noting that on October 9, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Dushanbe for a visit. He was welcomed at the international airport by Tajikistan’s Prime Minister, Kohir Rasulzoda.
Today, the President of Kazakhstan will participate in the "Central Asia – Russia" summit. On October 10, President Tokayev is scheduled to attend the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS.
