Tengrinews.kz – President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks with U.S. President Donald Trump during his working visit to New York, the press service of Akorda reported.
The meeting, which took place on September 22, focused on prospects for bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United States.
"Donald Trump emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in the fields of economy and trade," the press release stated.
The two leaders also discussed current international issues.
Earlier in New York, Tokayev met with representatives of American business circles, including Cerberus Capital Management CEO Frank Bruno, Chevron CEO Michael Wirth, and Meta Vice President Yann LeCun. He also held talks with PepsiCo board chairman Steven Cihos and Amazon senior vice president David Zapolsky.
