Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Dashzegviin Amarbayasgalan, Chairman of the State Great Khural of Mongolia, during his first official visit to Kazakhstan.
Tokayev noted that the visit would contribute to strengthening bilateral ties and recalled his own trip to Mongolia in October last year, which elevated intergovernmental and interagency cooperation to a new level. He also mentioned his recent talks with Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh on the sidelines of the SCO summit in China.
“Mongolia is our reliable and important partner in Asia. The solid friendship and strategic partnership between our countries are rooted in shared traditions, culture, and history. We are ready to work together to deepen these relations,” Tokayev stated.
Amarbayasgalan thanked Tokayev for the warm welcome, expressing confidence that his visit would mark the beginning of a new chapter in bilateral cooperation.
“This meeting will further strengthen friendship and brotherhood between our peoples, whose history and customs are closely tied to nomadic civilization,” he said.
The sides discussed parliamentary diplomacy as well as trade, regional, and cultural cooperation.
