Tengrinews.kz - Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Moldovan President Maia Sandu during the COP29 World Climate Summit in Baku.

According to Akorda's press service, the two leaders discussed opportunities to enhance the traditionally friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Moldova, focusing on trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation.

Maia Sandu noted that the opening of Moldova's embassy in Astana next year would further strengthen bilateral ties.

The presidents agreed to organize mutual high-level visits.

On November 11, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Baku for a working visit. During his visit, the Kazakh leader is holding talks with heads of state, international organizations, and business representatives.

Tokayev also delivered a speech at the World Leaders Summit on Climate Action, held as part of the 29th UN Climate Change Conference (COP29). He was the first speaker to address the plenary session.
