"Kazakhstan is firmly committed to joint active work in the BRICS format to strengthen comprehensive cooperation in the interests of sustainable and secure development of the state. I am confident that the BRICS summit in Kazan will go down in history as an important milestone on the path to a better, more just world," the Head of State said.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has arrived in Kazan on October 23, following an invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putin, to participate in the XVI BRICS Summit.
Earlier, Berik Uali, the President’s press secretary, shared that Kazakhstan had received invitations to join BRICS. He noted that these offers are being carefully considered by President Tokayev, with relevant agencies analyzing the potential implications based on Kazakhstan's national interests.
