Tengrinews.kz – Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has invited Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to pay an official visit to Astana.

According to Akorda, Pashinyan will visit Kazakhstan on 20–21 November at Tokayev’s invitation. The program includes bilateral talks between the delegations, where the sides will discuss prospects for strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between Kazakhstan and Armenia.

The visit was earlier confirmed by Pashinyan in a message to Tokayev. In August, the two leaders held a phone conversation in which Tokayev congratulated the Armenian prime minister on the signing of the Washington Declaration on establishing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Tokayev also noted that Kazakhstan was preparing to host Pashinyan’s official visit and expressed readiness to continue supporting political dialogue between Yerevan and Baku by offering Astana as a negotiation platform.

Pashinyan, thanking Tokayev for his support, briefed the Kazakh side on aspects of the peace process and highlighted the important mediating role of U.S. President Donald Trump in the talks.
