Tengrinews.kz - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a phone conversation with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
During the call, Tokayev expressed his gratitude to Aliyev for sending a prominent sports delegation to the 5th World Nomad Games.
The Kazakh president emphasized the strong growth in bilateral trade, economic, and cultural relations between the two nations, built on a foundation of strategic partnership.
Tokayev also highlighted the significance of hosting the Days of Azerbaijani Culture in Kazakhstan at the end of September, as a means of bringing the two peoples closer together.
In addition, he congratulated Aliyev on the successful parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan, which were observed by representatives from Kazakhstan.
"President Tokayev reaffirmed Kazakhstan's readiness to continue offering Almaty as a platform for peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia," the statement added.
For his part, President Aliyev reiterated Baku's commitment to strengthening cooperation with Astana across all areas of bilateral relations. The conversation was described as friendly and cordial.
