Tokayev holds phone talks with Putin four days after meeting in Dushanbe

Tengrinews.kz – President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, held a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

During the call, the two leaders discussed the implementation of bilateral agreements previously reached at the highest level.

They also reviewed specific aspects of the preparation for Tokayev’s upcoming state visit to Russia, scheduled for November 12.

Earlier, on October 10, Tokayev met with Putin in Dushanbe. At that time, he described the visit as a milestone expected to give additional momentum to Kazakhstan-Russia strategic partnership and alliance, emphasizing that “Kazakhstan and Russia are destined for enduring cooperation, strategic partnership, and ultimately friendship.”

In Dushanbe, Tokayev also participated in the “Central Asia – Russia” summit at the Palace of Receptions, noting that the potential and role of Central Asia as a dynamically developing region are recognized by leading countries worldwide.
