Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Akorda reported.
The two leaders discussed the current state and future prospects of Kazakh-Russian cooperation, noting its steady development in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance.
They reviewed progress on agreements to strengthen trade and economic ties, including in energy, industry and transport, and highlighted the dynamic growth of cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
“Special attention was paid to preparations for the upcoming state visit of the President of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation,” Akorda said in its statement.
Tokayev and Putin also exchanged views on pressing regional and international issues.
