Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that Kazakhstan is forming a new national identity based on technological progress, innovation, and digital transformation. Speaking at the Forum of Strategic Partners “Kazakhstan – Territory of Academic Education”, he outlined the country’s ambitious goals to modernize the economy, create new industrial sectors, and integrate artificial intelligence (AI) across all areas of life.
Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan has already taken a confident step toward becoming a technologically advanced nation.
“It would not be an exaggeration to say that this is an essential element of our new national identity,” he said.
The president emphasized the global importance of AI, calling it “a new fundamental driver of global progress.” He pointed out that by 2030, the contribution of artificial intelligence to the world’s GDP could exceed $15 trillion.
“Which country will gain the most from the development of AI? This is an extremely important question that defines the future of humanity,” Tokayev remarked.
He stressed that for Kazakhstan, the development and integration of AI technologies is now a top strategic priority, symbolizing the country’s path toward becoming a modern, forward-looking digital state.
