Tokayev discusses strategic cooperation with Qatar's emir

Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a phone conversation with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, and investment sectors, according to the President’s press service.

The leaders reviewed the progress of a long-term strategic partnership agreement signed earlier this year.

"Both President Tokayev and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani expressed mutual belief in the truly strategic and mutually beneficial nature of the cooperation between Kazakhstan and Qatar," the statement read.

President Tokayev confirmed his participation in the upcoming Doha Forum 2024 at the invitation of the Qatari emir. The two leaders also agreed to maintain close communication between their countries.
