Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund’s group of companies has signed memorandums of cooperation with British businessmen, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the official website of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange KASE. Samruk-Kazyna signed the memorandums with leading engineering, design and project management company Atkins and Partners Overseas and the biggest business leaders organization Institute of Directors. “Signing the agreements is a result of successful work of both parties. I am confident that the potential of Kazakhstan-British partnership and the dialog during today’s round-table meeting will enable us to take the bilateral cooperation to a new level,” chairman of Samruk-Kazyna Umirzak Shukeyev said after the signing ceremony. According to Shukeyev, Samruk-Kazyna group of companies initiated the practical measures aimed at taking the economic and investment interaction with Great Britain on a new level. “In particular, we were performing a systematic work to define and implement new long-term directions in economic, investment, financial, industrial-innovative and other sectors,” he added. Besides, head of KazakhTelecom Kuanyshbek Yessekeyev signed license agreements with representative of Weightless Contracting Maksim Bautin and the board member of Virgin Management Peter Norris. Head of KazAtomProm National Atomic Company Vladimir Shkolnik and chairman of Moller Center of Churchill College in Cambridge University Sir David Wolle signed a framework agreement.
