Tengrinews.kz – Russian President Vladimir Putin lauded Kazakhstan's progress under the leadership of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during extended talks in Astana, Akorda's press service reports.
During the discussions, Putin highlighted the active and multifaceted cooperation between Moscow and Astana.
"Indeed, Kazakhstan is our strategic partner and reliable ally. When we discussed issues in the narrower format, we addressed the challenges arising in our bilateral process. However, the most important thing is that we share the desire to tackle these challenges together and find solutions. I cannot recall a single issue that we could not resolve jointly. With this attitude, we will achieve great success. It is particularly gratifying to see Kazakhstan achieving impressive results under your leadership. Despite today's complexities, our cooperation is expanding, becoming both intriguing and mutually beneficial," Putin remarked.
The talks covered a broad spectrum of collaboration, including trade, economics, transport and logistics, energy, science and technology, and cultural and humanitarian sectors.
Putin arrived in Kazakhstan earlier that day for a state visit. The two presidents are also participating in the 20th Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia, held via videoconference.
On November 28, Tokayev will chair the CSTO Security Council session, where delegations will discuss pressing regional and global security issues. Several key documents are expected to be signed.
