President Vladimir Putin of Russia comments on the forthcoming presidential election in Kazakhstan

President Vladimir Putin of Russia has commented on the forthcoming presidential election in Kazakhstan, a Tengrinews.kz journalist reports, citing Dauren Abayev, President’s Press Secretary.

“President Vladimir Putin has just expressed his support to the incumbent president Nursultan Nazarbayev when giving an interview for broadcasting media. He emphasized that President Nazarbayev didn’t need to drum up any further support”, Mr. Abayev said when answering a question from a journalist on whether Vladimir Putin had commented on the forthcoming election.

President Putin also added that “whoever loves Kazakhstan will vote for Nazarbayev”.

Today Akorda, Astana-based Presidential Residence, hosted a trilateral meeting of Heads of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus.
