Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to the Akorda press service.

During the telephone conversation, the heads of state discussed the current state and prospects of Kazakh-Russian cooperation.

They noted the need for full implementation of previously reached agreements in trade, economic, and energy sectors and agreed to ensure thorough preparation for Russian President Vladimir Putin's official visit to Astana.

The presidents exchanged views on current international issues. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed gratitude for the invitation to participate in the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) summit in Kazan.
