Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has dismissed several ambassadors from their posts and made new diplomatic appointments, according to an official announcement from the Akorda press service.
By presidential decree, Margulan Baimukhan was released from his roles as:
- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Belgium,
- Head of Kazakhstan’s Mission to the European Union and NATO,
- And concurrently, Ambassador to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Azamat Berdybay was dismissed from his position as Kazakhstan’s ambassador to the State of Kuwait.
Arman Issetov was relieved of his post as ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand. He has now been appointed as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
As part of the reshuffle, former Deputy Foreign Minister Roman Vassilenko was appointed as Kazakhstan’s new ambassador to Belgium, as well as head of the country’s missions to the EU and NATO.
These diplomatic changes are seen as part of broader efforts to strengthen Kazakhstan’s foreign policy presence in key regions.
