President of Ukriane Petro Poroshenko is coming to Astana with an official visit.

President of Ukriane Petro Poroshenko is coming to Astana with an official visit, Tengrinews reports citing the press office of Akorda.

Nursultan Nazarbayev and Petro Poroshenko discussed pressing issues, prospects for future cooperation and the visit of the Ukranian President to Kazakhstan over the phone.

Earlier in February, Nazarbayev invited Poroshenko to Kazakhstan. In December 2014, Nazarbayev visited Kiev where he met with Poroshenko and the Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

The Norman format meeting in Astana with participation of leaders of Ukraine, Russia, Germany, France aimed at resolving the situation in Ukraine was planned in January, but later cancelled. The Norman format meeting took place later in Minsk, Belarus.
