President of Turkey to visit Kazakhstan on April 16

President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan will pay an official visit to Kazakhstan on April 16, Tengrinews reports citing the press office of Akorda, the residence of the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan will pay an official visit to Kazakhstan on April 16, Tengrinews reports citing the press office of Akorda, the residence of the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Nursultan Nazarbayev will have a meeting with his Turkish counterpart on April 16. As part of Erdogan’s visit to Astana, the two leaders will attend the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council. It was established in 2012 and the Council's first meeting was held when Nazarbayev visited Turkey in October that year. 

Besides, on April 14, Nazarbayev had a meeting with Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Turkey Zhanseit Tuimebayev. At the meeting, Tuimebayev updated Nazarbayev on the current state and prospects of development of the bilateral relations with Turkey emphasizing the high level of cooperation in trade and economy between the two countries.
