President of China to visit Kazakhstan in June 2011

An official meeting of Kazakhstan Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov with his counterparts from Kyrgyzstan, China and Tajikistan was held in Almaty, Tengrinews.kz reports. The parties discussed interaction in the framework of international organizations and associations and reviewed preparation for the SCO summit in Astana. Kazykhanov and his Chinese colleague Yang Jiechi discussed the details of the coming trip of the President of China Hu Jintao to Kazakhstan. Chinese leader will come to Astana before the SCO summit in June. Kazykhanov and Kyrgyzstan Foreign Affairs Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev discussed Bishkek's efforts to create conditions for stable socio-political and socio-economic development of the country. In the meeting with Tajikistan Foreign Affairs Ministry Hamrokhon Zarifi Minister Kazykhanov discussed arrangements for the second meeting of the Council of Foreign Affairs Ministers of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan in Dushanbe. On May 13, Kazakhstan Foreign Minister met with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov and former minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain Miguel Angel Moratinos.
