Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev is to deliver his State of the Nation Address at the joint sitting of the Parliament chambers January 27. When speaking at a solemn meeting to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the nation’s independence, Nazarbayev said that the Address would focus on social modernization, Newskaz.ru reports. Notably, he said that Kazakhstan needs a program to set certain living standards to be reached by 2030 in terms of employment security, accessibility of healthcare and education services. He also said that he planned to address issues of rural areas, including specific projects to spur towns development. The document will also focus on healthcare industry infrastructure, reduction of maternal and infant mortality rates, measures to boost birth rates. Besides, the Address was to outline measures to ensure greater PC penetration.
