Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev will pay his first official visit to Vietnam from October 30 to November 1, Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Altai Abibullayev told October 24. “The first ever official visit seeks to give an impetus to further development of the bilateral relations between the two nations”, he said. According to the Foreign Ministry, President Nazarbayev is to meet the country’s leadership and sign a number of bilateral documents covering different realms of cooperation. Besides, a business forum is to be held alongside the meetings. According to the Kazakhstan’s Agency for Statistics, the trade turnover between the two states in January – August 2011 made up $33.3 million.
