President Nazarbayev receives Qatar’s Minister of Foreign Affairs25 июня 2015, 18:43

Kazakhstan&rsquos President Nursultan Nazarbayev has received Qatar&rsquos Minister of Foreign Affairs Khalid bin Mohammad Al Attiyah on June 17, who arrived in Astana on his official visit, Tengrinews reports citing the press office of Akorda.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral cooperation in trade, investments and transport.

According to Nursultan Nazarbayev, the bilateral ties between Kazakhstan and Qatar were at a high level. &ldquoI am sure your visit will contribute to the further strengthening of our cooperation. Qatar provided assistance in building our capital, including the Nur Astana mosque. I would like to express gratitude for your help in construction of the rehabilitation center in for people affected by nuclear tests at the Semipalatinsk test site in Semey city,&rdquo the Kazakh leader said.

This project is implemented within the framework of cooperation between the Fund of Culture, Education and Social Programmes in Kazakhstan and the Qatar Development Fund.

Khalid bin Mohammad Al Attiyah conveyed greetings from Emir of Qatar to President Nazarbayev and expressed hope for further strengthening of the bilateral cooperation.
