The International Exhibitions Bureau held a reception in Gabriel pavilion in Paris to celebrate Kazakhstan's victory in the competitions to host EXPO-2917, Tengrinews.kz reports. Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev addressed the audience in the beginning of the event: “I would like to once again thank the organization for the decision to hold EXPO-2017 in our young capital (Astana). I am thankful to presidents and governments of the states for supporting our bid. I would like to express a special gratitude to Belgian people and leaders and to Liege for the honest competition. We fully realize the historical responsibility imposed on us. For the first time the EXPO will be held in the heart of the Eurasian continent,” President said. He assured that Kazakhstan will take maximum efforts to hold the exhibition at the highest level. “We will consider all your suggestions and take all efforts to make the exhibition interesting,” Nazarbayev said and invited everyone to visit Kazakhstan.
