Permanent representative of Kazakhstan to UN appointed
The permanent representative of Kazakhstan to the UN has been appointed, Tengrinews reports citing the press-service of Akorda. "Kairat Abdrakhmanov was appointed the permanent representative of Kazakhstan to the United Nations Organization by the decree of Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev and released from his duties of Kazakhstan Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Austria and permanent Kazakhstan representative to the international organizations in Vienna and Kazakhstan Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Slovenia in combination," the message says.Kairat Abdrakhmanov, 49, started his career as a history teacher, later on he headed the Asian Countries Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, and served as Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan . He also used to be Consul Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Great Britain, Kazakhstan Ambassador to Israel and permanent representative of Kazakhstan to the OSCE.
